The Inovando Arquitetura office signs a project in the interior of São Paulo for a client to enjoy his retirement
The office Innovating Architectureformed by the architect duo Ingrid Ovando Zarza and Fernanda Bradaschia, signs this 250 m² house in Cabreúva, in the interior of São Paulo. The address in a condominium was chosen by the client to be her home after retirement.
To the layout refurbishment design of the house, Inovando Arquitetura was based on a key family habit: having breakfast in the kitchen. Among the solutions developed, the office expanded the environment and provided its integration with the use of an island and table for meals.
“In addition, we increased the lighting by adding plaster lining, as well as changing the frames with the aim of creating wider openings in the windows” comments the architect Ingrid Ovando Zarza.
Lighting solutions were also extended to the rest of the house: in addition to changing the frames throughout the house, a zenith opening represented an efficient way of attracting natural light to an underused internal garden, thus allowing its transformation into a dining room.
Another focus of the project was the readjustment of a space in the living room to introduce a home office integrated with the rest of the house. “Finally, we also changed the layout of the furniture to create more flexible and functional environments”, explains professional Fernanda Bradaschia.
In the kitchen, the highlight is the use of coatings and joinery in neutral colors. In addition to providing a more peaceful environment, the focus of the colors is on the garden landscape that invades the environment through the large windows. And, as the client’s hobby is the art of painting pictures, the professionals also thought of special spaces so that she could exhibit her works.
