After several months of investigations into several people suspected of having engaged in illegal commercial trading in narcotics, the Ditzingen police station, together with the criminal police of the Ludwigsburg police headquarters, carried out searches and arrests in an asylum accommodation in Korntal-Münchingen on Tuesday.
The individuals are accused of selling narcotics such as cocaine, ecstasy and marijuana on more than 20 occasions between November 2022 and April 2023.
In the course of the investigation, the suspicion of seven men between the ages of 26 and 34 was confirmed.
Early on Tuesday morning, seven search warrants issued by the responsible district court and the same number of arrest warrants were executed. Six of the seven suspects, all of Gambian nationality, have been arrested.
A 26-year-old could not be found, he is currently on the run.
Another 26-year-old suspect was released in coordination with the Stuttgart public prosecutor’s office after the police measures had been carried out.
The five 26, 28, 31, 32 and 34-year-old men were then brought before the competent magistrate at the Stuttgart district court, who executed the arrest warrants and admitted the suspects to prisons.
The search measures, however, brought to light narcotics such as cocaine and marijuana as well as cash, so-called fine scales, several cell phones and goods in their original packaging, which could possibly have been stolen goods from a discounter.
This evidence was confiscated. Investigations, including into possible thefts, continue.
The search and arrest measures by the Ludwigsburg police headquarters were supported by forces from the police headquarters and the Baden-Württemberg State Criminal Police Office. A total of around 80 officers and two police dogs were involved in the operation. (pol/gm)
