The game on Friday evening between TSG Hoffenheim II and Aalen was stopped after almost an hour in Sinsheim because Kienle hit the goal post during an attack and fell unconscious. The Aalen team expressly thanked the Hoffenheim team doctor, the first aiders on site and the referee team for their quick action and help. “We assume that his chest hit the post. When I arrived, the player was unconscious and didn’t react. We started resuscitation quickly. Luckily he came right back,” said Hoffenheim team doctor Yannic Bangert in a statement from TSG.

The game was rescheduled for next Tuesday (7:00 p.m.) from the kick-off.
