Abbie Chatfield says she would “never go out in public again unless she’s engaged” as she opens up about romance

Abbie Chatfield has revealed she would not go public with any other relationship unless she was engaged to the person.

The reality TV star, 27, told Stellar Magazine on Sunday that her celebrity profile can cause tension in a relationship so she wants the romance to be serious before going public.

“I wouldn’t go public if I wasn’t engaged. I don’t think I have the ability to be with anyone publicly,” she said.

“When they’re in this industry, it causes so much shit. If they’re not in the business, they get sucked into my life, which isn’t really fair.

“If I sleep with someone, I will never say their name. I don’t want people to have anything to do,” she added.

The brunette beauty then said that everyone she dates is photographed by paparazzi and subjected to media scrutiny.

“If I’m on a first date with someone and someone takes a picture of us, then we need to talk about how we’re going to address that in the media. It kind of sucks the fun out of everything,” she said.

It comes after Abbie revealed she’s in a new monogamous relationship after their disastrous polyamorous romance ended last year.

The reality TV star split from The Bachelorette’s Konrad Bień-Stephen last September, with whom she was in an open relationship.

She has since appeared to be single but announced this week on stage of her Trauma Dump tour in Adelaide that she is in a new relationship.

She told the crowd at Thebarton Theatre: “I don’t understand monogamous language. I didn’t know what exclusive meant.”

The podcast host said it’s a very new relationship and didn’t reveal the name of her new partner.

Despite being single since her split from Konrad last year, Abbie confirmed that something romantic happened between her and US rapper Yung Gravy while he was in the country.

Discussing rumors that they slept together, Abbie said in a sarcastic tone: “I certainly didn’t spend two nights at his hotel.

“Nothing happened, we only had Maccas.”
