A 40-year-old man fell off a lifting platform with his bicycle in Hamburg and later succumbed to his severe head injuries. As the police announced on Sunday, the 40-year-old was staying with a work colleague on Saturday night on a freely accessible company site in the Eidelstedt district. Alcohol was drunk.

The 40-year-old is said to have climbed onto the loading ramp with his bike and used the lifting platform in front of it, from which he fell. The cause is still unclear. The man died on the way to the hospital, according to Sunday information.
