Prior to joining ABC13, he worked for five years and one month for WTKR News 3 in two roles. First, he was the station’s Sports Director/Anchor from July 2016 to July 2021, where he played the leading role in a relaunch of the sports department after the station had gone nearly a decade without a nightly sportscast.
Second, he was the station’s Weekend morning news anchor from January 2021 to July 2021. In addition to his duties as a sports director and main sports anchor, he also co-anchored the station’s two-hour morning newscast on Saturdays and Sundays. From June 2010 to July 2016, he worked for KEYE-TV (CBS) as a sports anchor/reporter. There, he produced, wrote & anchored 5 sportscasts per week (Fri/Sat 6/10 pm & Sunday 5:30 pm). Also, he co-anchored “Sports Sunday”, a live 30-minute weekly wrap-up show at 10:30 pm. Prior to that, he was a Sports Anchor/Reporter for KWTX-TV (CBS) from July 2007 to June 2010.
At the station, he produced, wrote, edited, & anchored four-weekend sportscasts (6/10 pm Saturday, 5:30/10 pm Sunday) in addition to co-hosting “Sports Friday” a 30-minute high school football during the fall. Moreover, he was the winner of the 2009 Texas Associated Press Broadcasters 1st place award for Sportscast and the 2010 Lone Star Emmy nominee for a sports feature story. From August 2004 to July 2007, he worked for KNOE-TV (CBS) as a sports anchor/reporter. While there, he was the winner of the 2005 Louisiana Associated Press Broadcasters 1st place award for sportscast. Throughout his career, his award-winning coverage has featured everything from the College World Series to competitive tree climbers and everything in between. Moreover, he has reported from Super Bowls XLVII, LI, LII, LIII, and LIV.
