It causes symptoms like stomach cramps, bloating, diarrhea and constipation. These tend to come and go over time and can last for days, weeks, or months at a time.

“I skipped meals before shows because all the pain came after eating. I would be hungry and then put on a show.
“It was just so bad and it got to the point where I was like, I can’t take it anymore.”
She revealed that she first started fighting in her early 20s, shortly after appearing on the X Factor.
She admitted, “It got to the point where I felt out of control and it was an out of body experience,” but added that she was too embarrassed to talk about it at the time despite being in “agony.” .

WHAT IS IBS?
Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common bowel disorder that causes stomach pain, bloating, diarrhea, and constipation.
The disease affects between 25 and 45 million Americans.
About two out of three of them are female.
Most people get their first IBS symptoms before age 40.
The cause of the disorder is unknown, but is believed to be due to abnormalities in gut bacteria.
Symptoms can be treated, but there is no cure for IBS.
Treatment consists of self-care through changes in diet, lifestyle, and exercise.
The diet low in fermentable oligosaccharides, disaccharides, monosaccharides, and polyols (FOMAP) is thought to be effective for people with irritable bowel syndrome.
It includes eggs, meat, fruits and vegetables while avoiding dairy and wheat.
Alexandra and her footballer boyfriend Darren, 35, welcomed their first baby just eight months ago – but she has chosen not to reveal his name and gender.
The superstar affectionately calls her firstborn Grape and previously wrote about her love for her baby on Mother’s Day alongside a cute picture.
She wrote, “My first Mother’s Day as your mom… I feel very blessed. I cannot thank the husband enough for making me feel so special and loved.
“My little baby Grape – thank you for making me a better person. For making me the best version of myself and showing up in ways I thought I never could… I’m so lucky to be your mom.
Vicky Pattison was among the first to congratulate Alexandra on her baby news, writing: “Oh my god! Happy birthday babes.’
And JLS singer Oritse Williams also wrote: “Congrats Al.”
Her joyful announcement comes just days after Alexandra told MailOnline she has no issues with Darren Clubs moving and leaving her alone to raise her baby.
She told MailOnline she only sees partner Darren twice a week after the goalkeeper joined Bournemouth from Premier League rivals West Ham United in January.
The West End star said that while it’s “difficult” with Darren living and working away, she’s learned to “adjust” and becoming a mother for the first time last year has shown her how “great” Women are.
She said: “Whether it’s about children or your life in general, women just adjust. No shade for men I think men are great… but women oh my god we make milk to scream out loud!’
She explained: “My partner has just moved away to Bournemouth, bless him so he’s not really here. It makes things really difficult for me but we make it work.’

But she confirmed to MailOnline that the couple isn’t engaged yet and that “wife” and “husband” are just their pet names for each other.
She said: “Let me be very clear… I called him ‘husband’ because he calls me ‘wife’ and those are just nicknames for each other.
‘We must remind him to put a ring on him. It’s just a nickname, but maybe I made a mistake calling it that. It’s his name in my phone so I don’t know what to tell people! There’s no rush, if it’s supposed to happen, it will happen.’
Alexandra, who is from Islington, rose to fame in 2008 when she won the X Factor at the age of 19 and performed a duet with superstar Beyoncé in the final.
