Since Fast XDiesel has even hinted that plans have changed yet again and what was once intended as a two-parter could now become a trilogy. So the ending of the 2023 movies would never be entirely satisfying, even if the abruptness with which the actual plot unfolds is still more harrowing than enticing:
After Uncle Jakob’s Batmobile-like vehicle launches a kamikaze attack on a fleet of enemy vehicles coming for Dom’s vintage Dodge Charger, apparently killing himself in the process, Dom is surrounded by self-propelled oil tankers atop a dam. Villain Dante (Jason Momoa) reveals that this is where he always intended to end up against Toretto: Dom and his son Little Brian (Leo Abelo Perry) are helpless when they are being ambushed by corrupt CIA man Aimes (Alan Rtichson*) uses a bazooka to knock Tej, Roman, Han and Ramsey’s plane out of the sky.
(*Fun fact: Ritchson played Aquaman on the CW Smallville long before Momoa did the same thing on the big screen, meaning the real villains of Fast X are the Aquaman Bros!)
Of course, being Dom being Dom means he can improvise out of a sticky situation. So, in disbelief, the Charger drove down the side of a near-vertical causeway and escaped the first blast. But with the car seemingly finally crashing in the water, there’s no escaping it as Dante blows up the rest of the dam, burying the Torettos under countless gallons of water.
Honestly, the couple should be dead. Although they should have died on the dam, and indeed Dom should have died many times throughout the course of this film, starting with his car crashing his head-first into a brick wall in Rome. So, putting the physics aside, there’s a Hail Mary that hasn’t been revealed yet that we think can save him…
The Return of Mr Nobody
Gone But Never Forgotten: Kurt Russell’s Mr. Nobody cast a long shadow over the Fast and Furious movies. After stealing scenes featuring his favorite Belgian beers in both scenes angry 7 And The fate of the angry, the “Agency” master spy, was last seen wounded in the eighth Fast movie, but still very much alive. In fact, one of the triggering incidents in F9: The Swift Saga Do Dom and the family think they found Mr. Nobody after he disappeared? This turns out to be a ruse, as the haunt’s disappearance remains unsolved even after we meet his daughter, Tess (Brie Larson). Fast X. During her first scene with the duplicitous Aimes, the traitor complains that her father is missing.
