Anna Richardson has shared details about the ectopic pregnancy she suffered during college when she was in her early 20s.
The Naked Attraction presenter, 52, has previously addressed the difficult experience but will discuss it more openly during her new Channel 4 show.
Presenting the new series Naked Education, which aims to normalize all body types, the star reveals the permanent scar pregnancy has left on her stomach.
Speaking to The Sun’s TV Mag this week, Anna shared that on the show she describes how the scar has been the source of body confidence issues over the years.
“I’m going through menopause right now and it’s a real struggle. You see your body changing,” she explained.

Speaking to the publication, Anna explained that during an episode of the show, she showed off her belly star while speaking to a group of moms.
Admitting this has led to body confidence issues over the past 30 years, she shared, “Now my stomach is kind of hanging over that scar and I’m quite aware of it, but your relationship with yourself and your body is a journey and it changes over time.’
Touching on her changing body and the struggles of menopause, she continued, “You see your body changing and it becomes harder to do things.
“You can’t fit into the clothes you used to fit in or you see you’re not as young as you used to be, it’s a constant challenge.”

Anna previously revealed the ordeal “almost killed me” and tragically miscarried about 20 years later.
Speaking on Loose Women, she said, “The really, really sad thing is when I was about 40 I accidentally got pregnant and very sadly I lost my baby.”
While the presenter also revealed in 2021 that she was considering adopting a child after splitting from her partner Sue Perkins of seven years.

After mentioning adoption in the past, Anna was questioned further about her plans in an interview with the Express, replying: “I’m still following this, I’m very in touch with Adoption UK because I did a podcast for them last year have. I am very interested in promoting starting a family.’
Channel 4’s Naked Education launches April 4, hosted by Anna, Love Island’s Alex George and Yinka Bokinni.
The show will delve into reconstructive surgeries, weight loss issues and the elusive “perfect” Instagram body issues.
