Attack with a hatchet: Suspect in custody

In a dispute, a 59-year-old in Bergen auf Rügen (Vorpommern Rügen district) is said to have attacked a 44-year-old with an ax. As the police announced on Saturday, the 59-year-old is said to have aimed in the direction of the head and upper body on Friday afternoon. However, the 44-year-old was able to avoid it and was uninjured.

The police investigated the 59-year-old German for attempted manslaughter. He was reportedly arrested at the scene. The responsible judge at the district court in Stralsund ordered custody on Saturday.
