‘Bachelor’ Zach Shallcross calls Kaity Biggar ‘love of my life’

Zach Shallcross And Kaity Biggar are engaged!

That’s right Bachelor Nation, there’s a new engaged couple in the franchise! Shallcross’s season of The Bachelor concluded with a three-hour Monday night episode that ended with Shallcross asking Biggar the big and sparkling question.

Last week, The Blast reported on one of Biggar’s recent Instagram posts. In the photo, Biggar’s left hand is out of the camera’s field of view; The 27-year-old bride-to-be’s followers suspected she might have hidden a big ancient rock!

Shallcross and Biggar’s on-camera journey to the altar in the second half of the season had been a bit bumpy. He had been intimate with Gabi Elnicki during Shallcross’s fantasy suite week, having previously promised himself and the other women that intimacy would not be on the table.

The duo have clearly moved away from any argument caused by Shallcross’s confession – he has since addressed the matter – and are on the road to marital bliss!

Biggar felt anything but bliss from Shallcross’ fantasy suite Revelation

Shallcross’s decision not to have sex with Biggar, Elnicki and fellow third-place finisher Ariel Frenkel drew heavy criticism.

Biggar and Elnicki were less than pleased, and Frenkel was reportedly unaware of the drama at the rose ceremony that followed.

Biggar told her husband she “could have left frankly without hearing” he slept with her close friend. Elnicki was quite vocal about her feelings. She expressed that she felt “blind” because Shallcross reportedly told her he would keep her night between them. (via TODAY)

Bachelor Nation favorite Wells Adams later called Shallcross about his decision. According to our report, Adams expressed his contempt for Shallcross’s choice on his Instagram Stories.

“…It’s weird because [telling the women] is something he doesn’t have to do on camera,” he said. “There’s that moment when they close the door and the cameras go out, and he can be like, ‘Hey, listen, I just don’t want to have sex with anyone because I don’t want to make things awkward,'” Adams continued. “No, it’s awkward because you tell everyone on camera! OK?!”

Shallcross later took responsibility for his actions. According to reporting from The Blast, he later explained himself to Us Weekly during the recent taping of Women Tell All.

“From what I could tell, a lot of things are changing and going into this week I thought I could basically make a guideline for myself and a guideline for others to try and make it less messy, and it bit us in the a**,” Shallcross told the outlet, per The Blast.

Shallcross later got bitten by the “Love Bug” while celebrating his engagement on Instagram!

While Shallcross had the opportunity to discuss these matters with Elnicki and Frenkel during the “After The Final Rose” portion of Monday’s finals, he undoubtedly felt great bliss!

The future Mr. and Mrs. Shallcross were able to commemorate their engagement with a post-show interview with host Jesse Palmer, in which they revealed they hope to walk down the aisle in 2025.

The groom-to-be posted a picture of his marriage proposal to Instagram, calling his fiancée “The love of my life” in the caption!

Shallcross also wrote: “This woman deserves the world and I am eternally grateful to have her in my life. I fall in love with you more every day,” he continued, turning to Biggar. “Love you best friend,” he finished with a purple heart and a dolphin emoji.

“I love you so much,” his wife-to-be commented. “So excited to make life with you baby!!”

Both Clayton Echard and Susie Evans from the previous “Bachelor” season sent their congratulations. Echard recently reminded Bachelor Nation to give Shallcross some clemency after Fantasy Suite Week. (per The Blast)

Palmer commented, “So honored to have been a part of your journey! Love you guys!!!”

Bachelor Nation fan account @bachelorettewindmill commented, “I knew you would choose her just because of your response to her being in love with you.”

“My favorite Bach candidate and Bachelor,” one fan told Shallcross. “You were purposeful, honest and always did what you thought was best [happy emoji] I love you and I’m so happy for you and Kaity!”

“I knew by the second or third week that it would be her,” wrote another follower!

Several West Coast viewers blasted Shallcross for spoiling the couple’s happy ending!
