Bahia confirmed yet another reinforcement for the dispute of the Brazilian Championship. The club reported this Tuesday that it concluded negotiations with Nacional, from Uruguay, for the arrival of left-back Camilo Cándido.
The 28-year-old player was loaned to Tricolor until July 2024, with a purchase option clause at the end of the contract.

Carlos Santoro, director of football at the club, spoke about signing the defender.
“Camilo has been bringing experience, in addition to solidity and balance, to his position in our squad. A player called up to the national team of his country, who also performs other functions on the field, and was voted one of the best players of last season in Uruguay”, said .
Camilo Cándido is Bahia’s second signing in this window, along with right-back Gilberto. The Uruguayan arrives to be another option for the left side of the defense, which already has Jhoanner Chávez, Ryan and Matheus Bahia.
For Nacional, Cándido scored seven goals and 19 assists in 96 matches played. The winger was Uruguayan champion with the team and helped qualify for the round of 16 of Libertadores 2023.
