With the uproar surrounding the movie “Barbie”, which opens this Thursday (20), the use of pink has become a highlight in fashion and interior design. Called “Barbiecore”, the trend has been gaining momentum since last year, when production was announced, and now it’s peaking with the release.
In decoration, color can be used in various shades and shapes. “Pink, with its numerous derivatives, whether clear and subtle, whether pink and sparkling, fell in favor with men and women. It became a wild card color, which looks good in different situations and projects”, says architect Pati Cillo.
Pink can be used in details, such as pillows and decorative objects, but also on walls, panels, sofas and other large pieces. “It is a color that is related to joy and high spirits. If used in a light tone, it brings calm and serenity”, says the specialist.
In the project in the photo above, by Korman Arquitetos, pink stands out in the predominantly gray environment. It is present in the classic Charles Eames armchair and ottoman and also in the coffee table, in a slightly darker tone.
In the room below, by architect Pati Cillo, color is in practically everything: on the sofa, on the wall with gradient paint and in neon with the song “I Wanna Dance With Somebody”, by singer Whitney Houston.
