He co-founded the Lawfare Blog with Robert M. Chesney and Jack Goldsmith. He also serves on the Task Force on National Security and Law of the Hoover Institution. He is a frequent speaker on imprisonment, interrogation, and national security issues to academic, government, policy, and military groups. In 2020, he will co-host the show instead of Fun with journalist Kate Klonick.
