“Even though I’ve been a mom for almost three years and now have two kids of my own, when I hear her say Happy Mother’s Day, she’s the first thing that comes to mind.” billy started with a picture with her mother. “Even though it’s been more than six years since her death, when I first wake up, it still feels like her day – not mine. But as the day progresses, I remind myself that now is my day too.”

She continued, “I’m the mother of two magical little creatures that I adore to the core, and there’s nothing I enjoy more than being their mother.” And while she’s not here, it always is still her day. It is our day now. And that’s sad and incredibly beautiful at the same time. With the magic of life comes the reality of grief. It’s all intertwined. Mother’s Day can be many things.”
