Bobby Hebert is a former American football quarterback and sportscaster in the United States. From 1983 to 1996, he was a member of the Michigan Panthers, New Orleans Saints, Oakland Invaders, and Atlanta Falcons in the National Football League (NFL) and the United States Football League (USFL). He was admitted into the New Orleans Saints Hall of Fame in 1999, and the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame in 2000. In New Orleans, he currently hosts an afternoon radio program on WWL AM 870 and WWL-FM 105.3.

Hebert, sometimes known as the “Cajun Cannon,” led the Panthers to the USFL championship in the league’s debut season. Eventually, he was instrumental in the Saints’ first winning season and playoff participation in franchise history.
His debut season with the New Orleans Saints was in 1985. In 1987, he was promoted to starter quarterback, with John Fourcade serving as a backup. On November 20, 1988, he completed 20 of 23 passes for 194 yards and three touchdowns in the Saints’ 42-0 blowout of the Denver Broncos.
He led the Saints too strong starts and playoff appearances in 1991 and 1992. He was honored by appearing on the front cover of Sports Illustrated on October 7, 1991. He was admitted into the New Orleans Saints Hall of Fame in 1999, and the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame in 2000.
