The new horror Boogeyman: Your Fear is Real is based on the short story The Phantom by Stephen King and hits theaters on June 2, showing that the Boogeyman does exist
Those who are afraid of sleeping in the dark now have one more reason to stay awake. That’s because 20th Century released the official trailer for Boogeyman: Your Fear Is Reala new horror film directed by Rob Savage (Be careful who you call) and produced by Dan Levine, Dan Cohen and Shawn Levy, who also signs Stranger Things. The film is inspired by the short story The ghostby Stephen King.
The plot accompanies Sadie Harper, a 16-year-old, and her younger sister, Sawyer, who are having to face grief after their mother’s death. Despite having Will, a therapist father, they don’t find the comfort they need, as the man is also dealing with his own pain.
One day, Will is surprised by a distressed patient who shows up unexpectedly at his home. When he leaves, the young man leaves behind a terrible supernatural entity, which, in the film, alludes to the Boogeyman. Such an entity pursues victims and feeds on their suffering in order to live. In the trailer, just over two minutes long, we can see that Sawyer will be the main victim of the haunting.
