Bradley Beal under investigation for betting-related fan scuffle

Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal is under investigation over a scuffle with angry players who blamed him for their losses.

During the pandemic, sports betting emerged and took the world by storm, and recently the gambling craze caused a dispute between Bradley Beal and fans who lost money due to his performance.

Accordingly TMZ, The Washington Wizards guard left court after the team’s loss to the Magic as the altercation took place. Two fans were reportedly harassing Beal when a guy yelled, “You fucked me [out of] $1,300 you f**k!” and Beal allegedly knocked a hat off the fan’s head. After a back-and-forth, Beal called her comments “disrespectful.”

“Keep it at a dollar,” Beal said. “I don’t care about your bets or parlays, brother. That’s not why I play the game.” TMZ claims he said.

Police have taken up a report of the alleged battery incident and are investigating Beal. They have cellphone footage of the altercation and tried to get footage from the Amway Center, but the altercation took place off camera.

The victim wants to press charges and police have determined that there are sufficient probable causes for a “simple battery”. They also noted that “broad charges are being brought to the prosecutor’s office.”

Bradley Beal’s attorney issued a statement to TMZ:

“We are cooperating with the investigation and [Bradley’s] Name will be deleted soon.”
