The late actress’ all-white outfit, which she donned as Princess Leia in 1977’s Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope, is going under the hammer at Propstore Auction and is expected to fetch a whopping sum by the end of the three-day sale, the runs from June 28th to 30th.

More than 1,400 memorabilia from 300 films and TV shows will be part of the auction. Other lots include Batman’s Batpod, Chris Pratt’s light-up Star Lord helmet from Guardians of the Galaxy and the clown doll from the classic 1982 film Poltergeist and Daniel Radcliffe’s distressed suit from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, where the latter is expected to fetch at least $75,000.

The Batpod used by Christian Bale in The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises is expected to command the same high bids as the Princess Leia costume.

Earlier this month, Carrie’s daughter Billie Lourd paid a touching tribute to the star, who died in December 2016, on Mother’s Day, admitting that although she’s now a mother to Jackson, two and five months old, from Kingston, she doesn’t see the day as an homage for her late mother and not for herself.

The 30-year-old actress, married to Austen Rydell, wrote on Instagram: “Although I’ve been a mother for almost three years and now have two children of my own, the first thing that comes to mind when I hear ‘Happy Mother’s Day’ is her. Even though it’s been more than six years since her death, when I first wake up, it still feels like her day – not mine.

“But as the day goes on, it occurs to me that it’s my day now, too. I am the mother of two magical little creatures that I adore to the core and there is nothing I enjoy more than being their mother.

“And even though she’s not here, it’s still her day. It is our day now. And that’s sad and incredibly beautiful at the same time. With the magic of life comes the reality of grief. It’s all intertwined.”
