A state security trial against a 34-year-old woman for alleged membership in the terrorist militia “Islamic State” (IS) has begun at the Celle Higher Regional Court. The accused had announced that he wanted to testify in the proceedings on (today) Monday, as a spokesman for the Higher Regional Court had announced in advance. In the fall of 2016, there were plans to attack a music festival near Hildesheim. According to the federal prosecutor, the woman from the Salzgitter area was in the know and wanted to help with the implementation. She is accused of being a member of a “foreign terrorist organization”.
