A 23-year-old was taken to the hospital because of shortness of breath. The suspect escaped undetected. The criminal police of Directorate 4 (South) will take over further investigations.
Schöneberg: man beaten and homophobically insulted
A man was in last night Schoeneberg beaten and insulted in a homophobic manner. As the police announced on Saturday, there was a dispute between two men around 10 p.m. in the U1 in the direction of Uhlandstraße. When the subway pulled into Wittenbergplatz station, the stranger hit the 40-year-old in the face with his fist and then insulted him homophobly.
The unknown perpetrator left the platform in the direction of the exit. The police couldn’t find the suspect. The 40-year-old man sustained a laceration in his eye and sought medical treatment on his own. The police state protection of the State Criminal Police Office takes over the further investigations.
