However, in this post, we will focus on Chris Smith, a former professional basketball player.Chris Smith was born on October 13, 1969, in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He attended the University of Connecticut, where he played college basketball for four years. During his time at UConn, Smith was a two-time All-Big East selection and helped lead his team to the NCAA Elite Eight in 1990.After college, Smith was selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round of the 1992 NBA draft. He spent two seasons with the Timberwolves, where he played mostly as a backup point guard. In 1994, Smith signed as a free agent with the Indiana Pacers, where he played for one season before being traded to the Vancouver Grizzlies.Smith’s time with the Grizzlies was short-lived, as he was waived by the team after just one season. He then spent a few years playing professional basketball overseas before retiring in 2000.After retiring from basketball, Smith went on to work as a coach and mentor for young basketball players. He also started his own basketball academy, the Chris Smith Basketball Academy, where he helps train and develop young players,Aside from his basketball career, Smith is also known for his philanthropic work.
