Police say NFL player was involved in case that happened in late January
Last Saturday (8), US police charged Joe Nixonplayer of Cincinnati Bengals from the nfl, of threatening a woman with a firearm. According to the case report, the athlete would have shouted several threats at the time, on January 21, 2023.
According to testimony from people present at the time of the incident, Joe Nixon would have threatened the woman with phrases such as “they should blow up your face, I should shoot you. The police can’t catch me”.
“To preserve a fair and impartial judicial process for the parties involved, no details of the investigation or evidence will be released outside of the official judicial process,” the Cincinnati Police Department said in a statement about Nixon’s case this weekend.
Nixon is a repeat offender
It is not the first case of violence involving Joe Nixon. Prior to this charge in 2014, the player was charged with misdemeanor assault and was suspended for one season while playing college football.
Because of this case, Nixon was on probation for a year, did 100 hours of community work and had to undergo behavioral counseling.
