A fire alarm was triggered on Thursday (May 4th, 2023) at around 11:50 a.m. on the Leiterweg in Hirschlanden, presumably due to burnt food in the kitchen area of a community school.

As it turned out, the fire alarm went off because of the smoke on the ground floor of the school complex. The school was then evacuated. Around 700 students and around 100 teachers were affected by the short-term measure, but they were able to return to the classrooms around 12:15 p.m. The volunteer fire brigade was on site with four vehicles and 23 emergency services. There was no property damage.
