Dak Prescott was sedated for ELEVEN HOURS to get massive leg tattoo, with Cowboys quarterback getting ink of Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan and Muhammad Ali

Dak Prescott got a massive leg tattoo in March, and the quarterback was reportedly sedated for a whopping 11 hours to have the work of art completed.

According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Prescott didn’t tell Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy or owner Jerry Jones about the process beforehand.

Nonetheless, Prescott emerged with a massive leg sleeve featuring tributes to his family and nods to a few sports legends.

‘I did all this in one sitting,’ Prescott told the Star-Telegram. ’10 plus one day and the next day I went for a like two more hours. They came over on a Friday, ran over all the ideas, worked on them and printed them and came back the next day and laid them on my leg.’

A picture of a moose on his leg is meant to commemorate his brother Jace, who died by suicide in 2020, according to the publication.

Elsewhere on the leg sleeve, Prescott has a ‘Black Mamba’ for Kobe Bryant, a Jumpman logo for Michael Jordan and a drawing of Muhammad Ali, the article says.

Prescott even has a sign from the trailer park where he grew up in Louisiana.

The quarterback told McCarthy that he was sedated after the tattoo was finished, but Jones had no idea until this past training camp.

‘I certainly didn’t know he was under for 10 hours,’ Jones told the Star-Telegram. ‘Just so you’re clear, I had no idea about tattoos. I better get up to date on it. I had no idea that required that kind of sedation of any tattoo. It further explains to me why I don’t have a tattoo.’

However, Prescott was not the only – or even first – player on the Cowboys roster to be sedated for a tattoo.

CeeDee Lamb reportedly underwent the process first before referring Prescott to the same tattoo artist, Andres Ortega, and then running back Tony Pollard did it as well.

The trio will hope to lead the Cowboys to a Week 1 win at the Giants on Sunday night.
