Popular Nigerian Afrobeat singer David Adeleke, known as Davido, received credit for his recent intervention on behalf of some youths in Lagos by ordering police officers to release them.
NIGERIA reported that Davido asked officers to release those arrested during the trial.
According to an eyewitness account, Davido was on the route when he noticed a group of police officers who were carrying out the search and control procedure.
Concerned about those arrested, Davido decided to intervene and campaign for their release.
Davido calmly approached the officers and respectfully demanded the release of those arrested.

Seeing the commitment of the well-known musician, the police officers listened carefully to his request and finally decided to comply with his request.
The detainees probably expressed their appreciation for Davido’s timely intervention with relief and gratitude.
They looked to him as their savior, rescuing them from the clutches of the police and coming to their aid in times of need.
