The Böblingen volunteer fire brigade moved out on Thursday (May 5th, 2023) with nine vehicles and 36 emergency services to Murkenbachweg in Böblingen after smoke was reported from a residential building at around 12.45 p.m. and it was initially assumed that there was a roof fire.

However, it was quickly determined that the smoke was coming from a presumably defective solar module and that there was no fire. Water vapor had probably escaped from the solar thermal system mounted on the roof of the residential building. The plant was put out of operation by the fire brigade.
