There will again be no joint fan scarf for the finalists at the final of the DFB Cup. Eintracht Frankfurt’s board spokesman, Axel Hellmann, confirmed on Sunday on the TV station Bild that an agreement had been reached with opponent RB Leipzig.
There will again be no joint fan scarf for the finalists at the final of the DFB Cup. Eintracht Frankfurt’s spokesman for the board, Axel Hellmann, confirmed on Sunday on the TV station Bild that an agreement had been reached with opponent RB Leipzig.
“Of course we talked on the phone about that. We quickly agreed that we would not open this debate and not make a fan scarf,” said the 51-year-old. It was also agreed that “communicatively, the battle of the systems” would not be opened up. The final will take place on June 3 (8 p.m. / ZDF) in the Berlin Olympic Stadium.
Last year there was no common scarf for the final between Leipzig and SC Freiburg. A week-long discussion had developed over this. Freiburg had forbidden Leipzig to use its club crest on fan paraphernalia. Board member Oliver Leki justified this with the lack of acceptance of RB among Freiburg supporters.
