Four injured people are the result of a dispute on Thursday evening at the Ludwigsburg train station.
Two 28-year-old women met there around 7:15 p.m. with a 39-year-old and his 43-year-old brother to visit the spring festival in Stuttgart together. However, the two women broke off this project when they realized that the 39-year-old already seemed to be heavily intoxicated. When she wanted to leave the train station in a taxi, the 39-year-old tried to stop her. The 72-year-old taxi driver came to the women’s aid and pushed the 39-year-old away from his vehicle, whereupon he hit him several times in the face.
Two 35- and 37-year-old colleagues of the 72-year-old and a 21-year-old passer-by intervened, causing the 43-year-old brother to attack the two younger taxi drivers. When witnesses alerted the police, the brothers fled.
The ambulance was called for the four slightly injured. The two suspects were searched for, but were initially not found.
In the course of an operation due to disturbance of the peace a few hours later in Benningen am Neckar, forces from the Marbach am Neckar police station finally found both brothers there and carried out the necessary police measures.
The 39-year-old was under the influence of alcohol at the time. The result of the breath alcohol test was more than two per thousand. A breath alcohol test could not be carried out on the older brother. Both men are now being investigated for assault. (pol/gf)
