Two earthquakes have struck the east coast of Australia, with a magnitude 4.3 tremor hitting the coast of northern Queensland and another measuring 3.1 near Grafton on the north coast of New South Wales.
The epicenter of the Queensland earthquake was 130 km off the coast of Cairns and struck at 10:13 p.m. on Wednesday, Geosciences Australia said.
The Queensland Fire and Rescue Service have not received any reports of injuries or damage.

Geoscientists say cities near the epicenter may have felt a “very faint tremor.”
The impact of both earthquakes was relatively small compared to the magnitude 3.8 quake that struck 35 km northwest of Melbourne’s CBD on May 28.
According to seismologist Adam Pascale, it was the largest earthquake within 40 kilometers of the capital in more than 120 years.
In 1902, a magnitude 4.5 earthquake was reported.
