Initiatives can be registered until 05/31 and must contain innovative solutions for energy access, energy efficiency or clean energy
The EDP Energia Solidária public notice, which will make up to R$ 500,000 available for innovative projects related to the just energy transition, is reaching the last days of registration.
Those interested can submit their proposals until May 31st and the main requirement is that the projects present solutions related to Access to Energy, Energy Efficiency and Clean Energy in Vulnerable Communities. The complete regulation and registration form are available here.
Social relevance, innovative character and sustainability in the long and medium term are some of the evaluation criteria, in addition to the need for projects to be directed to the regions where EDP operates in Brazil (Amapá, Ceará, Espírito Santo, Tocantins, Goiás , Mato Grosso, Rio Grande do Sul, Rio Grande do Norte, Paraíba and São Paulo).
Investment can be in more than one project
The investment may be allocated to one or more projects, depending on the selection result. The pre-selected projects will be announced in August and those selected will be communicated in October. The execution of the projects should take place in 2024.

The initiative, launched at the beginning of the month by EDP, a company that operates in all business areas of the Brazilian electricity sector, meets the company’s goal of becoming 100% green by 2030, leading the energy transition without leaving anyone behind . The public notice takes place through the EDP Institute, the organization responsible for managing the company’s socio-environmental investments.
