Eknath Shinde On Uddhav Camp Leader joins Shiv Sena

Mumbai, Maharashtra:

After the designated leader of Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray), Balasaheb Chandore, officially joined the Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde, the latter on Friday welcomed him and said the party would support you.

I welcome Balasaheb Chandore to Shiv Sena. I am with you and Shiv Sena from that Balasaheb Thackeray is with you. They have always worked for the growth of Shiv Sena,” Mr Shinde said, adding that they only came to power to advance Balasaheb Thackeray’s ideology.

Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) expelled his district president, Balasaheb Chandore, from the party on Friday for alleged involvement in anti-party activities.

The group of over 40 MLAs who broke away from the former Sena led by Uddhav Thackeray last June eventually overthrew the Maha Vikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra.

On February 17, the Electoral Commission assigned the Sena’s distinctive “bow and arrow” symbol to the Shinde camp and further ruled that the rival faction will henceforth bear the name “Shiv Sena”.
