The ‘Harry Potter’ actress has reflected on the changes in her life after her 33rd birthday on Saturday (15/04/23), which she attributed to her ‘Saturn Return’, an astrological concept that sees the planet on the same celestial coordinates like him, a person’s birth, which occurs approximately every 30 years and is said to coincide with a challenging period in which the person eventually matures into full adulthood.

Sharing a series of portraits, Emma wrote on Instagram: “This is 33rd Holy Moly. Before 29 I hadn’t even heard of a Saturn return as a concept. Let’s just say I know my way around now.

“I retired from my life — I learned to surf (badly), I rode a few horses (that went better), I did a lot of therapy (YES therapy!).

“My brother and I have teamed up @renaisspirits. I adopted Sofia in Mexico who appears to be an angel and not a dog.

“We filmed a Harry Potter reunion. I said goodbye to my grandma and grandpa. I took my steps back. I started an environmental fund for women.

“I played pickleball and even golf with @sugarrayleonard and then tried to get all my friends to learn it too.”

The ‘Little Women’ star worked ‘one-handed’ for months after a culinary accident and has adapted to healthier routines.

She continued: “I cut my thumbnail off both hands trying to cook for myself and then for months I was only able to do things with one hand.

“I was really sad and really upset about a lot of things. I learned more about love and womanhood.

“It took me three years but I finally figured out a daily practice and I can actually do it for more than a few days at a time. I burned some things. I eat green things now! I was obsessed with building Squarespace websites. I directed my first commercial.”

The professional photos Emma shared for her birthday were actually taken when she turned 32, but she explained that she wasn’t “ready” to leave her “Covid cocoon” at the time.

The actress ended her post with a heartfelt thank you to her loved ones.

She wrote: “Thank you to the witches in my coven who have been so instrumental in helping me get to where and who I am now.

“You are my Avengers and you inspire me and kick ass. It takes a whole village, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

“And finally – many thanks to my brother @alex.s.watson for helping me find the most challenging things incredibly funny over time.”
