Faith Jenkins and Kenny Lattimore stopped by Sherri Earlier this week to chat with Sherri Shepard and share new pics of her little girl too!
Kenny and Faith gave birth to their daughter in January but were careful not to reveal her face to the public. “My family is in Louisiana,” Faith shared with Sherri. “After Skylar was born, I wanted my mom and family to get to know her before I just started posting photos everywhere,” the new mom explained.
“We picked her up when she was eight weeks old [to meet the family]”Faith said of Skylar’s first visit to her mother’s family. “Everyone was there except my Aunt Freeda (?) because she can’t hold water,” Jenkins mused. “We didn’t invite her because she would have posted Skylar on Facebook.”
Glad to learn that Faith’s mother was meeting her granddaughter for the first time, Sherri couldn’t help but indirectly ask to see pictures of baby Skylar. The talk show host almost burst into tears as the photos appeared on the LCD screen behind her.
“Is that the baby?” Sherri asked. The spectators were also overwhelmed by the enthusiasm.
This year will be the first in which Faith Jenkins celebrates Mother’s Day as a mother. The judge shared her thoughts on motherhood on Instagram a few weeks ago.
“A few thoughts on my new life in this role,” Faith began. “That day, 11 weeks postpartum, I realized I couldn’t fit a single pair of pre-pregnancy shoes in my closet,” revealed Jenkins. “Clothes, I expected, but the shoes…why law?” the new mom asked jokingly.
Faith was happy staying home with her daughter, but also excited to get back to work so baby Skylar could see both sides of the coin. “Glad to be back at work and to see Skylar her mom in action,” the celebrity mom told fans.
Mother’s Day is this Sunday (May 14) in the United States.
