FDA panel recommends selling birth control pills without a prescription

An advisory panel to the Food and Drug Administration on Wednesday recommended that birth control pill Opill be sold over-the-counter without a prescription. Opill, a progestin-only pill, was first approved for use by the FDA in the 1970s. Meg Oliver knows more about what comes next in this process.
