The Interlagos circuit, in São Paulo, will host a car show this weekend. The event will be open to the public between Friday (21) and Sunday (23) with tickets starting at R$90.
There is also an option that costs R$ 495 and allows you to test three different cars on the track. However, the loudest roar of the engines will come from the machines that work on the construction of the stages of The Town, music festival that will be held in September. According to the organization, this work does not interfere with the racing circuit.
Some cars on display won’t even make a sound. These are the 100% electric models that debut at the festival, such as the Audi e-Tron GT.
The sports sedan is five meters long and, according to the German manufacturer, can reach 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds.
Electric motors are installed on the axles, which ensures all-wheel drive. The batteries weigh 630 kilos, which is not much for this type of car. Autonomy is 488 kilometers according to the European standard.
The car costs R$770,000, but is being sold for R$700,000 during the Interlagos Festival. There is also a subscription plan, with a monthly fee starting at R$15,480.
The event will also feature 100% Chinese electric compacts. The newly launched BYD Dolphin will be one of the rides available for testing at the track.
GWM will present the Ora GT, which should be the brand’s lowest priced model in Brazil. The rounded headlights refer to the vehicle that put the brand in evidence: the Punk Cat, an electric car that copies the classic lines of the Volkswagen Beetle.
Among gasoline models, the Toyota GR Corolla stands out. It is the first time that the Japanese brand sells a hatchback version of the model in Brazil — and truly sporty, prepared by the Gazoo Racing division.
The 1.6 turbo engine has three cylinders and 304 horsepower and is connected to a six-speed manual transmission. The traction is integral, being possible to divide the force in different ways between the axles. The car costs from R$ 417 thousand and competes with the Honda Civic Type R (R$ 434.9 thousand).
Among the pickups, the main attractions are the recently launched Chevrolet Montana RS, Ford Ranger and RAM Rampage. There will also be models from Citroën, Peugeot and Volvo.
