Firefly Lane Season 2 Part 2 Plot

At the end of season one of the show, there was a mysterious falling out between best friends Kate and Tully, which resulted in Kate forbidding Tully from attending her father’s funeral. However, season two finally revealed the cause of the argument. Tully had been caring for Kate’s daughter, Marah, when she let her go out despite being grounded. This resulted in Marah getting into a car accident on her way home from a frat party. Even though Tully was not at fault and both she and Marah were not seriously injured, Kate was understandably upset, leading to their falling out.

Despite initially rejecting Tully’s efforts to reconcile, Kate eventually shows up at Tully’s apartment after learning that she has been diagnosed with Stage III breast cancer. However, Tully has just left for a work trip to Antarctica, leaving fans wondering what the diagnosis means for Kate and whether their friendship can be repaired. Unfortunately, Kate is later told that her cancer is terminal, and Tully rushes back home to be with her. The two reconcile before Kate eventually passes away.

Actress Sarah Chalke, who plays Kate, says that season two, part 1 answered some of the questions from season one but also created new ones, which will be addressed in the second half.
