From the children’s group to the chairman of the Bund Naturschutz

Because Gudrun Kissinger-Schneider, the long-time chairwoman of the Bund Naturschutz local group in Türkheim/Ettringen, wanted to step down a bit for reasons of time, a successor was sought – and found.

Jessica Färber is the new chair of the local group Turkheim/Ettlingen of the Bund Naturschutz. At the request of our editors, she now explained what motivated her to get involved: “My motivation is above all the fact that there is no other alternative than to protect our livelihoods,” is how she explains her decision to vote for the to provide a new chairman.

Previously, the increasingly urgent question had occupied the previous board – as in some other associations – how to proceed and how a successor could be found, because the previous incumbent Gudrun Kissinger-Schneider wanted after three terms of office and in view of her obligation as a member of the municipal council and from private reasons. A coincidental meeting with Jessica Färber came at the right time, which Gudrun Kissinger-Schneider still remembered from a children’s group at the BN.
