Furious Trump calls on Alvin Bragg to ‘impeach himself’ and ‘resign’ for ‘illegally leaking’ the charges

Donald Trump will not be handcuffed or have his mug shot taken, it was reported Monday night when sources in the Manhattan DA’s office presented the charges to a reporter — infuriating Trump himself.

Michael Isikoff, a reporter at Yahoo News, said he was told there would be 34 crimes. He also described the allegations.

Trump, who is in Trump Tower before the indictment Tuesday, reacted with anger to Isikoff’s report and said Bragg should be prosecuted.

‘Wow! District Attorney Bragg just illegally LEAKED the various counts and full details of the pathetic charges against me,” he wrote on Truth Social.

“I know the reporter and unfortunately he does too.

“That means he MUST BE REPORTED IMMEDIATELY. Now, if he really wants to improve his reputation, he’ll do the honorable thing and IMPEACH himself as district attorney.

“He will go down in judicial history and I’m sure his wife, who hates Trump, will be very proud of him!”

Trump then continued to attack Bragg and demanded his resignation.

“DA BRAGG JUST ILLEGALLY LACKED THE 33 charges,” said the 76-year-old.

“There are no changes or surprises from what he leaked directly from the grand jury days ago.

“No crime by Trump.

‘What a mess. Bragg should resign NOW!’

Isikoff said in his report that there would be 34 indictments.

He said it was all a felony for forging business records.

Isikoff quoted “a source briefed on the procedures leading to the former president’s impeachment.”

It is unusual for falsifying business records to be prosecuted as a crime: they are usually considered a misdemeanor.

Bragg’s office has filed all charges as Class E felonies — the lowest level of felonies under the New York State Criminal Code — on the grounds that Isikoff’s source said the conduct was intended to cover up another underlying crime.

A conviction for the Class E felony of falsifying business records can carry up to four years in prison, but that’s considered unlikely.

It remains unclear what the underlying crime is that escalated Trump’s alleged misdemeanor into felonies.

The indictment will be officially unsealed on Tuesday, the website reported.

It is believed to be linked to campaign finance violations surrounding the $130,000 hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 election.

New York braces itself for possible protests.

Police began building barricades at the edge of sidewalks around Trump Tower and the Manhattan Criminal Court building downtown over the weekend.

On Monday, his motorcade pulled up to his jet in Florida and the former president boarded alone before campaign officials and attorneys followed him up the back steps.

After leaving office, his presidential motorcade was reduced to about four vehicles. But on Monday it was crowded with staff from additional SUVs.

His campaign managers Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita, as well as senior advisor Jason Miller and spokesperson Steven Cheung, along with his son Eric, traveled with him.

His lawyers have said he will plead not guilty and his legal team is preparing to bring in a constitutional expert amid fears the judge will muzzle the case.

On Monday, his legal team also asked the judge to ban cameras from the courtroom and hired top defense attorney Todd Blanche to strengthen his defense.

“I will be leaving Mar-a-Lago at 12 noon Monday and going to Trump Tower in New York,” the former president wrote Sunday night.

“On Tuesday morning, believe it or not, I’m going to the courthouse. America shouldn’t be like this!’

Court officials say he is due to be charged at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday.

He is then expected to return to his home in Mar-a-Lago where he plans to give a speech in the evening.
