Geoff Bennett is a well-known American journalist currently working as an anchor for PBS News Weekend and as a chief Washington correspondent for PBS NewsHour.
He joined PBS from NBC News, where he was a White House Correspondent and a substitute MSNBC anchor. Geoff worked for NBC from November 2017 to October 2021, when he left the company.
As the White House Correspondent for NBC News, he was located in Washington, D.C. Geoff began working at the station in November 2017 and will leave in October 2021 to join PBS News. He was the White House Reporter and Congressional Reporter at NPR before joining NBC News.
Geoff formerly covered Capitol Hill as well as national politics for NY1 News in New York City and a number of other Time Warner-owned cable news stations throughout the country.
He was also an editor for NPR’s Weekend Edition and a regular guest host for C-Washington SPAN’s Journals, a live, three-hour news, and public affairs show. Following his graduation from Morehouse College, he began his work with ABC News in New York.
