NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo and his girlfriend Mariah Riddlesprigger are expecting baby number three!
They announced their big news in a sweet Instagram post on Wednesday and fans couldn’t be more excited for the couple, who are parents to Liam, 3, and Maverick, 1.
Giannis and Mariah announced they are expecting baby 3!
Antetokounmpo and Riddlesprigger shared their news on their Instagram pages: “Our dreams are becoming reality.”
Announcing their exciting news, the photo shows the family of four, soon to be five, standing in front of pink and blue balloons draped with the word ‘baby’. Of course, that made her fans predict if the baby would be her third boy or if this would be her first girl.
“Giannis would be the ultimate girl dad,” one fan wrote. Another added, “A girl version of Giannis would be deadly🙌🏽.”
One follower asked, “Are you trying to have a number 5?” and another said, “I think it’s a girl, the reason he said her dreams come true.” What do you all think?”
Prior to Baby 3’s announcement, Giannis was named to the All-NBA First Team
Just hours before Antetokounmpo announced the exciting baby news, he was named to the All-NBA First Team for the fifth time. And to make the report even sweeter, he was the only player who was unanimously selected.
The two-time NBA MVP was the only first-team pick with 100 votes and 500 points. Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics took second place with 98 votes and 484 points.
Other players included in the All-NBA First Team include the Philadelphia 76ers’ Joel Embiid, the Dallas Mavericks’ Luka Doncic and the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
The All-NBA Second Team includes Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry, Cleveland Cavaliers’ Donovan Mitchell, Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler, Denver Nuggets’ Nikola Jokic and Boston Celtics’ Jaylen Brown.
The All-NBA Third Team consists of Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James, New York Knicks’ Julius Randle, Sacramento Kings’ D’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis, and Portland Trailblazers’ Damian Lillard.
Giannis Antetokounmpo was kicked out of the NBA’s all-defensive teams
Just a day before all the good news for Antetokounmpo, he took to Instagram to share his frustration at being kicked out of the NBA All-Defensive Teams.
“I’m fed up with the disrespect. I’m coming,” he captioned a photo of himself using dramatic lighting to get his point across. The post received more than 1.3 million likes and comments on the frustrating situation.
“They will stop respecting you… Time to get the disrespectful GIANNIS. You are the best player and they downplay you,” one fan wrote in the comments.
“LETSSSSSS GOOOOOOOO CHAMP 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼😤😤😤😤,” wrote another.
Nike didn’t seem too pleased with the snub, leaving “😤” in the comments. The Bucks also expressed their thoughts with a simple “😤😤😤”.
