Rede Globo managed to disrupt the “BBB 23” Game of Discord with limited time limits, and when it let the conversation flow, at the best moment of this second edition (27/3), it took the program off the air to show commercials.

After Larissa Santos vented to Domitila Barros the pain she felt for having been treated in a sexist and mean way at “BBB 23” and received a studied apology, aiming to control the damages, the two finally let go before the eyes of the public in a small time interval allowed by production.

The confrontation had a second round when it was Domitila’s turn to pick up the game boards and question Bruna saying that the fourth Deserto was increasing what she did, influenced by Larissa, and spreading it throughout the house. And despite that, they didn’t put her on the wall.

After Bruna spoke, presenter Tadeu Schmidt said he was going to leave to call the commercials, but left the cameras capturing the debate. Larissa took the lead and resumed the subject, explaining that it was not an exaggeration, that several people – not just Domitila – reduced her to an object and attacked her with sexist opinions on the program, and that she didn’t even want to talk about it on Discord, because just remembering it made her want to cry.

“Do you realize that you hurt me a lot? I didn’t even want to say it, because every time I say it I feel like crying. I’m not just blaming you and I’m not saying that I don’t have sexist lines. Other people have here in the house and I think it’s a combo, you know? When I remember your lines about me, I remember several lines [de outros]who put me in this program in a place that… I am not that and I think that no woman deserves [ouvir isso]”.

But at this point, the best point in the Game of Discord, the commercials kick in.

Upon returning, the two were standing, facing each other, and holding hands. Larissa held back her tears, while Domitila spoke: “And whether my intention was to hurt you or not, I hurt you. This makes me very sad, very disappointed with myself. I thank you very much for your sincerity for everything you said now – we had that conversation, but it’s not being half of what we’re talking about now. I, with all my heart, apologize”.

“You’re forgiven,” says Larissa, crying.

What Globo’s audience missed was a cut of about three minutes.

Larissa was still talking when the camera cut: “I keep thinking… I had a relationship here with a person [Fred Desimpedidos], imagine if I had stayed with more people, what would they call me? I was called a piranha, a bitch, a slut, just for free. And when my mother shows me this, almost crying, it gives me a pain that you have no idea. Then I talked to other people, they asked me for forgiveness, they recognized the error. And I didn’t expect from you, that I think that the thing that I most admired about you – that I admire most about you – is that you raise this agenda of female empowerment. And then you talk nice here and then leave, go into a room in a circle and say the things you used to say about me, that hurt me a lot”.

She continued: “When we went to talk there [fora], at first I let you speak. Use the empowerment agenda as if you were empowering me when you ask a funk singer to vote, to play football, vote for me, so I’m available out there, anyway. I bring this up and you say it as if you were empowering me, that’s when I think it’s even more of a mistake, because the people who wronged me simply felt ashamed and asked for forgiveness”.

The physical education teacher takes up another controversial statement by Domitila: “You say ‘It must be difficult for Larissa to swallow me, I speak seven languages, I’m a miss’. On the contrary, I’ve always admired you for that. We have conversations at the Aquarium [na verdade, no Deserto]saying ‘Caralh*, I don’t even know how to speak Portuguese [Amanda balança a cabeça confirmando]… I know you’re a lot smarter than me, you have a lot more history than me, you’ve traveled the world, that’s all. And then when I see several and several lines, to press that she has anxiety, if she presses the quit button… it’s very serious, you know?”.

With everyone in silence and with their heads down, Larissa continued: “I know you’re very strong out there. And for me to come here and say that, it’s a shot in the foot. But it’s something that hurt me a lot and hurt my family”.

At this point, Larissa starts to cry. “I couldn’t…not talk, you see,” she said, stuttering through tears, “even though I know you’re strong and I’m shooting myself in the foot.”

Domitila then gets up and asks to hug her. Larissa allows it, crying.

“I must tell you that I’m not judging you, okay, because I must have made a lot of mistakes here, I must have made a lot of mistakes”, continues the teacher. “But it got me in a place that is very, very fucked up*. I don’t want other girls to leave here and go outside and watch videos, because it hurt me a lot, and I’m not criticizing you, I’m not criticizing you… “, starts laughing with anxiety in the middle of crying.

“But you must criticize me,” admits Domitila. “The Easy [Ricardo] came up to me and said: ‘Domi, Lari won’t vote for you, she wasn’t one to vote for you’. I didn’t know that either. I messed up. You are right. You’re right and I made that mistake. And because I always ‘speak very beautifully’, I’m sad. You see I’m in my room a lot. I’m very disappointed with myself, because because I always speak beautifully, I’m disappointed that I was wrong”.

“And you understand that this is my disappointment in you, because I expected other people to make mistakes, but not you,” says Larissa.

“I understand. That’s why I’m looking at you and saying: you’re right to be disappointed. It was my mistake. And it was in this space that I imagined that the consequence would be for me to go to the wall, because I made a mistake, Larissa.”

At this time, Globo’s broadcast resumed.

Present in the same room, none of the other members spoke a word during this outburst.
