The grandfather of Lori Vallow’s murdered son JJ jubilantly sang the little boy’s favorite song, “We will rock you,” as he walked out of court in Idaho following the cult mother’s murder conviction.
Larry Woodcock and his wife Kay joined the cheering crowd to celebrate the guilty verdict before the couple made a moving statement to the press outside the Boise, Idaho courtroom.
Vallow, 49, was found guilty of the murders of her children, JJ Vallow, seven, and Tylee Ryan, 16, and conspiring to murder Tammy Daybell.
The Woodcocks were present in court throughout the trial and also led the public campaign to search for Vallow’s children following their disappearance in September 2019.
“JJ, I love you. “Dad wish you were here,” Larry Woodcock said tearfully outside the courtroom after the sentencing. “Tylee – Papa loves you.” Tammy – I’ve never met you. You are part of our life. I’m sorry about what happened. My heart aches for these three.’

He then spoke about the upcoming trial of Vallow’s alleged conspirator Chad Daybell – who denies the allegations and is expected to face a jury in 2024.
Woodcock said, “The next trial is Chad.” I look forward to being back in this courthouse on that case.
“I hope everyone is back. I hope you all appreciate the court system as much as how meticulous and meticulous the law enforcement has been. I think everyone will agree.
“It was a great job by everyone. And I want you all to know that I shook hands with the defense myself. I’ve said many times, “I want a fair, honest, and just decision.”
He also thanked the judges, saying, “I want to personally say thank you to each and every one of these judges and give them a personal hug.”
“I hope nobody ever has to go through it, I hope nobody ever has to see and hear the details of what happened to JJ, Tylee and Tammy.”

Vallow was emotionless as the verdict was read in Boise, Idaho today. Her defense team did not call a single witness or offer an explanation for the children’s deaths.
Lori’s children disappeared in September 2019. Her mother, newly in love with doomsday cult enthusiast Chad Daybell, dodged questions and dodged authorities.
She fled to Hawaii and refused to tell police where her children were or answer questions, not only about her children but the vast web of death and betrayal that seemed to engulf her family.
Lori, who was found mentally fit to stand trial, now faces a life sentence. A judge had previously taken the death penalty off the table.
