Here’s how to celebrate Disney’s 100th anniversary at EPCOT

The Walt Disney Company turns 100 this year!

Guests are currently visiting disneyland in California can celebrate this milestone as the parks hosted two all-new nighttime spectacles “World of Colors – ONE” And “Wonderful Journeys” to Disneyland, as well as the new attraction Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Train.

But guests are coming soon Walt Disney World in Florida it will also be able to celebrate like this EPCOT – one of Orlando’s four theme parks – will also be hosting numerous festivities.

New photo opportunities at EPCOT

For starters, guests visiting EPCOT will soon be able to snap photos with unique Disney 100-themed backdrops, including a brand new platinum Mickey Mouse statue.

Disney Parks shared, “You can snap a photo with a new platinum Mickey Mouse sculpture at World Celebration, with Spaceship Earth in the background.” And don’t forget the amazing Disney100 Magic Shots and PhotoPass deals currently available are available throughout Walt Disney World.”

But that’s not all, World Celebration in EPCOT will also feature a new mural featuring 100 different Disney characters from years past! This unique setting is perfect for capturing your Disney memories.

Disney shared, “Be sure to check out the brand new mural at the heart of World Celebration to see how many of the 100 Disney characters you can find in the incredible scene.” This sprawling mural along the walkway to World Showcase features a few Your favorite characters hidden in the different neighborhoods of EPCOT. The rest of the World Celebration will also be adorned with Disney100 Platinum banners and decorations.”

Meet Mickey and Minnie

In addition to the unique photo opportunities, Mickey and Minnie Mouse will soon be meeting guests in their 100 Year Anniversary outfits!

Over in the imagination! Pavilion, Mickey and Minnie will be waiting to sign autographs and hug while wearing their platinum Disney 100th outfits. Disney reported, “Mark your calendars because you can meet, hug and snap a picture with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in their Platinum Leaderboard Fantasy!” Pavilion.”

New spaceship earth show

Guests can cap off their evening with a brand new light show on Spaceship Earth, set to the legendary song When You Wish Upon a Star. According to Disney, “Each night, Spaceship Earth will be ablaze with special colors and lights, accompanied by the Disney100 Anthem, a unique rendition of ‘When You Wish Upon a Star.'”

EPCOT Festivals

Each year, Walt Disney World hosts its annual EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, which showcases food and drink from around the world and is a huge hit with guests. This year, from July 27th to November 18th, 2023, guests attending EPCOT will be able to visit the Global Marketplaces and taste their way around the world along the way.

And during the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, limited-time food and drink specials specially timed to celebrate The Walt Disney Company’s 100th Anniversary will be featured! New items will also be available at the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, which premieres later this year.

They reported, “Sip and savor the flavors of the Disney100 celebration with limited-time food and drink locations during both the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival and the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays!”

These new offerings will be unveiled at EPCOT starting September 22nd.
