Hideki Matsuyama is a Japanese professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. Matsuyama is the first Japanese professional golfer to win a major men’s golf championship – the 2021 Masters tournament. As of January 2022, he has 17 global wins, eight top-10 finishes in major championships and four Presidents Cup appearances.
In addition, he is a two-time tournament champion of the World Golf Championships, a two-time winner of the Waste Management Phoenix Open, an eight-time winner of the Japan Golf Tour, and a two-time winner of the Asian Amateur Championship. His biggest breakthrough came in 2010 when he won the 2010 Asian Amateur Championship with a score of 68-69-65-67=269.
