From Wolverine to sunscreen advocate: Hugh Jackman shares important health message
The star has been open about his battle with skin cancer since he was first diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma in 2013. Since then, the actor has undergone multiple surgeries to remove cancer cells from his skin.

He urged everyone to prioritize sunscreen over tanning, noting it’s not worth it, pointing the tip of his nose and admitting his sunspots came from overexposure 25 years ago. The 54-year-old adds:

Last month The Blast announced that the actor shared that his performance as the Marvel character Wolverine had a negative impact on his voice. He admitted that some techniques he used in portraying the character surprised his singing teacher from his drama school days.
Speaking to BBC’s Front RowHis The Music Man star explained: “I did some damage to my voice with Wolverine. My falsetto isn’t as strong as it used to be, and I attribute that directly to the growling and screaming.”
He explained that while he was taught techniques to shout and yell properly, the frequency with which he did it may have caused harm. Luckily, he mentioned that he takes steps to protect his voice, working with a singing teacher and making a conscious effort to prepare vocally and physically for any role he takes on.
