Michael Sani Amanesi, nicknamed MC Lively, a well-known sketch creator and content producer, has disclosed why he does not practice law despite being admitted to the bar in Nigeria in 2016.
The Obafemi Awolowo University graduate said he received an offer of N5,000 to work in a law firm.
He recently revealed this in an interview with well-known media representative Chude Jideonwo.
said MC Lively, “I love law so much. I exceeded it so much. I really love it. But there was a big struggle between what you do in school and what you do in real life. It’s so different.
“I mean, how am I supposed to go to law school, spend so much money and come out as a correspondent and you’re telling me you can pay me N5,000 a month? To do what?
“No, it was really annoying. And I remember that before I even got this specimen, I had to look for work in different chambers on my own. Before I got this particular one, I had gone to three or four chambers and they said I’m sorry, there’s nothing they can do. NYSC, that’s not even the real job. That’s just NYSC.
“So imagine what you would have to go through even if you graduate from NYSC and you’re looking for a real job, a real job.”
