IPCA decelerates to 0.71% in March and accumulates 4.65% in 12 months

The result was within the range of analysts’ estimates heard by the Estadão/Broadcastwhich forecast an advance from 0.69% to 0.85%, but below the positive median of 0.77%.

The rate accumulated by the IPCA in 12 months cooled from 5.60% in February to 4.65%. The inflation target pursued by the Central Bank (BC) is 3.25% this year, with a tolerance ceiling of 4.75%.
