“Is your helmet on fire?” Bayern fans send a message to the Bremen police

Some Bayern fans caused an uproar in the away block in Bremen last matchday. The supporters of the record champions seem to have been dissatisfied with the way the local police dealt with them. In the home game against Schalke 04 they expressed this with several banners.

In the 2-1 away win against Werder Bremen, the away block was cleared after Bayern fans ignited pyrotechnics there. After the game, five coaches with a total of 380 people traveling to Munich were checked and several reports of violations of the Explosives Act were filed.

At the home game on matchday 32, the Bayern fans reacted. Banners to the Bremen police with the inscriptions: “Bremen police – is your helmet on fire?”, “Bremen police – the V stands for proportionality” and “ACAB” could be seen on the south stand on Saturday.

“Absolutely covered”: fan club spokesman about the police

The spokesman for the Bavarian fan club Alexander Salzweger, Club No. 12, rated the action taken by the Bremen police on the Spox portal as “absolutely disproportionate”. “Unfortunately, fans of active fan scenes know such missions, but that was absolutely excessive even by their standards,” added Salzweger.
