I’ve Got Enough Music to Retire: Wizkid makes a U-turn on his 33rd birthday and announces a date for a new song

Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, better known as Wizkid, is changing his mind about retirement on the occasion of his 33rd birthday.

The question of his retirement was raised in an interview with Capital Extra’s Manny Norte.

The interviewer mentioned their previous encounter where Wizkid had informed him on his 33rd birthday which fell on Sunday July 16, 2023 that he had “enough music to retire”.

Wizkid is said to have boasted about having a rich catalog of music, which would be enough to make him consider retirement.

However, when his question arose, Wiz did a U-turn and confirmed his forthcoming album, but announced plans to release a track in the coming week.

“Come on, my brother. And we still record music every day [laughs]. So imagine how much music I have now,” he saidD

He added, “I have a new album ready, brother. The New Wiz album. I will release a new song next week. In a few days, meh.”
